Top 5 Wedding Venues in Columbus

One of the first considerations for a bride is the venue. There are so many options to choose from, so today I am giving you the top five wedding venues in Columbus that you should check out! Everyone has different styles and each wedding will look different from another. Ask yourself these questions…What kind of venue do you want to get married at? Do you prefer a garden, country club, estate, barn, etc? Do you want the ceremony outside or inside? How many guests are you anticipating? All of these questions are important to contemplate before looking at wedding venues.

With that being said, here’s my favorite

Wedding Venues in or Near Columbus!

Franklin Park Conservatory

Franklin Park Conservatory is located in the heart of Columbus and just a few minutes from downtown. This wedding venue has four different areas that you can have your wedding. They have the Palm House + Terrace, Grand Atrium + Zen Terrace, The Veridian – The Grove + Brides Garden, and The Wells Barn. All of these spaces are absolutely gorgeous and can hold up to around 200 guests. Although, if you’re having a smaller wedding they can accommodate that as well! I’ve photographed an elopement in the Palm House and it was so romantic. If you love the look of botanical gardens, and tons of different natural settings, then this wedding venue might just be the perfect fit for you! Here are a few pictures from the elopement I photographed there.

Jorgensen Farms

Jorgensen Farms is located on 100 acres of land in New Albany. There are two different options when booking a wedding. They have The Historic Barn or Oak Grove. The Historic Barn can accommodate up to 200 guests. This part of the venue offers luscious greens with a dazzling flower field, as well as the rustic feeling of the barn. Jorgensen Oak Grove is a classic and elegant greenhouse that is spacious for your ceremony with the Main Hall being steps away. It can accommodate up to 250 guests. Jorgensen has an on-site florist, as well as catering. Their grounds are always well kept and the property is exquisite. I’ve been to The Historic Barn a few times, and I just fall in love with the venue over and over again! If you’re looking for a spacious venue with outdoor and indoor options, then Jorgensen might be the venue for you.

Swan Lake Event Center

Swan Lake Event Center is a newer wedding venue located in Powell. Sitting on 20 acres of land, you can choose where you want your ceremony to be. They’ve got two spacious getting ready rooms that is perfect for your bridal party to get ready on-site. The Main Hall can accommodate up to 300 guests with vaulted ceilings, customized lighting, and a partially covered terrace overlooking a lake. At Swan Lake, you can create your own package. One of the best features is their investment calculator on their website. This calculator allows you to see approximately what it might cost to have your wedding there. This is seriously one of my favorite wedding venues! Last summer, I photographed an intimate wedding there, and loved all of the grounds! Check out a few of the pictures from the ceremony.

Crimson Lane

Crimson Lane opened in 2018 and they are located in Ada, just a little over an hour north of Columbus. This venue is located on a 4th generation family farm. The venue has a rural feeling, but it is very modern and charming looking with tons of natural light. One unique thing about this venue is that they offer all of their couples to have their engagement photos taken there! There are several options where you can have your ceremony, from the waterfront, under a 150 year old oak tree, or even indoors. Their main hall can accommodate 200 guests. I just recently visited this venue for a shoot and oh my goodness it is stunning! You have to check this venue out if you love the look of white exterior and interior with tons of natural lighting.

Brookshire Event Venue

Brookshire is located in Delaware, just minutes from the Polaris area. It recently went through a renovation and the venue looks really nice! They have cobbled patios, a garden, and a fire pit. There are two getting ready rooms that make it convenient for both the bride and groom to get ready. One of the beneficial things about Brookshire is that they offer an all-inclusive package. This includes catering, DJ services, floral centerpieces, and more. They can accommodate up to 300 guests. In the reception room, they’ve got glass sliding doors that can open all the way up on beautiful days. The indoor and outdoor options really make this venue versatile. Check out this cool place if you are interested in an all-inclusive venue.
