I’m Lexi, a wedding photographer based in Columbus, Ohio, and Savannah, Georgia, and I’m so glad you’re here. I’m a hopeless romantic with a big smile and a big heart for capturing incredible couples across the globe. I believe in capturing relationships in a timeless, romantic way while still having those effortless moments of joy in between. I value experience in life more than anything else, so it’s important to me to have a great experience for my couples that are undeniably in love.
Savannah, Georgia, is a popular wedding destination. The southern hospitality makes this a perfect location for a wedding. I’m giving you all the information about one of the most luxurious wedding venues near Savannah, GA: The Westin Savannah Harbor Golf & Spa. This venue has gorgeous views of downtown Savannah and the Savannah River, options for both indoor and outdoor ceremony/reception space, on-site catering, and much more. You can’t go wrong with choosing this as your wedding venue. Get ready to have the wedding of your dreams with a Westin Savannah Wedding!
To get to The Westin from downtown Savannah, you’ll need to cross the Talmadge Bridge. You’ll find the resort over on Hutchinson Island. While it’s not exactly in the heart of everything, it is nice to have peace and quietness.
If you’re planning this to be a destination wedding or have guests coming from out of town, it’s conveniently only a 20-minute drive from the airport.
You can hold all your wedding events here and book accommodations for your guests! Savannah is a fantastic location for any family or friends to stay a few extra days for a fun getaway! I’ve visited The Westin Savannah before and felt like royalty. The staff is so kind, and their service is superb!
A total of 400 guest rooms and suites are available. A variety of options are available according to your budget. You can choose from a beautiful Savannah/river view with a balcony or glimpse the luscious golf course.
If you have guests who decide to stay across the river, a free ferry can bring them to the hotel for the wedding and then Uber back. This ferry is very convenient and is a short 2-minute ride!
Aside from the beauty, Westin Savannah weddings have much to offer. If you want to have an outdoor Savannah wedding, you have plenty of options! Maybe you’re thinking of an outdoor ceremony, with an indoor reception. It’s up to you to decide which option fits your vision! Regardless of which venue you choose at the Westin Savannah, the ceremony fee is $1,000.
Let’s dive into the most popular ceremony and reception venue options at the Westin Savannah!
I would say the Harbor Lawn is one of the most popular venues on the property, and it can hold 150 guests for dinner and dancing. It offers the most luscious green lawn, an adorable white gazebo, and copious palm trees. Shrubs help bring privacy to the area so that there is a distinction between you and the hotel guests. You will get partial views over the shrubbery of downtown Savannah and the river. To me personally, there’s nothing better than al fresco dining! Or, you can put up a beautiful white tent if you wish for a tented wedding reception. So romantic and dreamy!
Looking to say your “I do’s” and dance the night away with a view even closer to the river? Then, the River Lawn is perfect for you! In this space, there is room for 60 guests. With incredible views of the sunset, this is an amazingly intimate setting. In addition to being right along the harbor, you can see the Savannah river and historic downtown without obstructions. If you’re lucky enough, one of the big barges will come by!
In the Harbor Ballroom, you can have 150 guests. If you want to have an outdoor ceremony at the Harbor Lawn but move your party inside, this might be the right fit for you! Weather can sometimes be an issue, whether it’s raining or hot, so having your wedding reception inside would help with any weather issues.
Choosing the Club Pavilion as your venue might be perfect for you if you’re looking for a bright and airy space. This location can hold 150 guests. The Club Pavilion is not at the resort with river views but at the Savannah Harbor Golf Course. Views from here of the golf course and the Talmadge bridge are breathtaking. All glass windows give the space a bright and clean look, letting in all the natural light.
A Westin Savannah wedding makes for every couple an easy and stress-free wedding experience. The venue provides the venue space and catering in-house, which is a great advantage! Not to mention all of the fun food and drink add-ons. Plus, they’ve got some great activities you can take advantage of the day before or after your wedding!
When choosing your menu for your Westin Savannah wedding, you have so many options. Your guests will be amazed and delighted by the Southern Lowcountry cuisine. Although they already have prepared menus, you can customize your selections. Additionally, you can choose whether you want your meal plated, served at stations, or buffet-style.
There are a few items you can choose from if you’re looking for a tasty late-night bite. If you want something other than wedding cake but don’t want to hire another vendor, the Westin also offers a donut wall or Leopold’s Ice Cream sundae bar.
Everyone has gathered to celebrate your marriage, but there are other things that everyone can enjoy as well! Think about taking your bridesmaids or mom to the Savannah Heavenly Spa the day before your wedding. Think about taking a dip in the pool on the morning of your wedding so you can relax before the festivities begin. On the morning of the wedding, the guys can play golf and enjoy time together.
The price will vary depending on which of the Westin’s venues you choose. Of course, the busy wedding season is in April, May, June, September, October, November, and December. During these months the cost will be more expensive. The River Lawn starts at $6,000, the Club Pavilion starts at $10,000, and the Harbor Lawn starts at $12,500.
