Getting to Tybee Island, Georgia, was well worth an early morning wake-up call before sunrise. I was so excited to photograph this elopement editorial, where the idyllic combination of a cute blanket, charming parasol, and the golden light of the sunrise created an ethereal atmosphere. You’ll find the cutest beach town, only twenty minutes away from the heart of Savannah. With sandy beaches, swaying dune grass, and a scenic lighthouse, Tybee can provide the perfect backdrop for a celebration of love. North Beach was the ideal location since we wanted to catch the sunrise. Watching the sun rise over the ocean gave this Tybee Island wedding editorial a serene atmosphere.
The incredible vendor team thoughtfully planned every detail of this elopement-styled shoot on Tybee Island. A blue and white striped blanket was carefully spread across the sand, creating a cozy space for the couple to sit and watch the waves crash. The cutest parasol was added as a romantic prop. You can never go wrong with where you choose to do your Tybee Island wedding photos, whether you choose the Lighthouse, Pier, or just the natural beauty of the beach.
For this Tybee Island beach wedding editorial, the bride wore a white gown with the cutest poof sleeve, while her groom wore a nice black tux. They both decided to go barefoot on the beach, which was the smartest idea! The beach has such a carefree feeling when you’re on it, so why not be comfortable and allow yourself to run hand in hand on the beach?!
When photographing this sunrise beach elopement on Tybee, I aimed to capture all the unspoken emotions from the tender moments shared between the two, like the gentle touches, to the heartfelt glances. Their love for one another shines through these photos. The delicate hues of pink and gold painted the sky as the sun rose, creating an even more magical setting. I always love photographing at sunset to get the golden sunset, but I see more sunrise sessions in my future.
