I can’t believe it’s already been a month since my family and I went on our annual family vacation to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina! It’s crazy how fast time flies. Ever since 2011, we have enjoyed vacationing on the island and it is something we look forward to every year! You can read about our trip that we took in 2018, here.

We always go a few days earlier so that we can visit my absolute favorite place…you guessed it, Savannah, Georgia! We don’t have much luck when it comes to flying, so of course our flight was delayed by a few hours. Once we finally arrived in Savannah, we headed to dinner at Corleone’s. This was our first time trying it, and oh my goodness it was some of the best Italian food we have ever had! After dinner, we enjoyed the view from the rooftop pool at our hotel and called it a night.

The next day we decided to take a day trip to Charleston, South Carolina because believe it or not, none of us had ever been! Up first, we grabbed some lunch at Poogan’s Smokehouse. Their cornbread was super yummy! After that we decided to drive around the city to check it out. We saw the classic Rainbow Row, walked through Hampton Park, and we ended the day by grabbing some ice cream. Once we got back to Savannah, we went to Savannah Smiles Dueling Piano Bar. This was our second time going there and we have fun each time we go. If you’re ever in the area, you need to check it out. I guarantee you will have some good laughs.

On Saturday, it was finally time to head to Hilton Head for the week and we couldn’t wait to get settled into the home that we’d rented. The next week was so relaxing and enjoyable. We lucked out with perfect weather everyday. From starting each day with a cup of coffee while enjoying the view of the canal, to then enjoying the afternoon sun by the pool. Life couldn’t have gotten any better! There were a few nights that we went out for dinner. One night, we went to our favorite Mexican restuarant at Shelter Cove. Another night we carried in pizza from the awesome Ohio State themed restaurant, Mangiamo’s!

A few of my favorite things from this trip were taking headshots on the beach with my best friend, exploring around Harbour Town, and creating fun new memories with my family. The Hilton Head and Savannah area always feel like my home away from home, and someday I hope to call it my home. Enjoy all of these pictures from our fun vacation!
