I have been SO excited to write this blog! If you know me, then you probably know that I am obsessed and in love with Savannah, Georgia. It is one of my favorite locations to visit. A few weeks ago on my Instagram, I shared a few things to do and see when visiting Savannah, and my followers said they wanted a blog post about all things Savannah. So with that…here it is my friends!
Where to Stay in Savannah, Georgia
First things first, where should you stay? I’ve stayed at a few different hotels and each of them have been pretty amazing! The first one you should check out is The Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa. This hotel is across the bridge, so it’s not exactly close to all of the restaurants and shops, but it is absolutely beautiful! The second hotel you need to check out is Marriott Savannah Riverfront. I have stayed at this hotel on many occasions. My favorite part of this hotel is the atrium. You can get a hotel room facing the atrium with a balcony that expands out into the hotel (on a side note, one of the times I stayed there, they had a wedding and we got to see it!). A third hotel you may want to stay at is Holiday Inn Express Savannah-Historic District. This hotel is centralized to all of the restaurants, shops and only 2 blocks from the riverfront. They have a rooftop pool and it’s amazing! I’m sure there are also some nice Airbnb’s you could rent as well.
Must Have Restaurants in Savannah
Now that you have a place to stay, the next important question is where should I eat? I have two favorite breakfast places that you MUST try! The first one would be The Funky Brunch Cafe. They have a few tables where you can make your own pancakes. I got chocolate chip pancakes with a side of peanut butter and oh my goodness they were the best pancakes I had ever had! The best part about this restaurant is that they have gluten free options if that’s something you need. Another suggestion for breakfast is Clary’s Cafe; it’s a small restaurant but it is super yummy. A few other restaurants that you should check out are La Parrilla, Screamin’ Mimi’s Pizza, and Bella’s Italian Cafe. The wait times can often be a little long, but trust me, each restaurant is worth the wait!
Things to do in Savannah, Georgia
What about things to do while you’re there? I’ve got ya covered! Take a stroll in Forsyth Park. There is 30 acres if you want to walk around and see all the beautiful scenery. Next up is walking along the riverfront! There are many different shops, restaurants and bars. If you’re lucky, you might get to see one of the big cargo ships go by! Rooftop bars are a big thing down in Savannah. I have never been to any of them, but I would highly suggest you check out Peregrin! One of the fun things that I have checked out is Savannah Smiles Dueling Pianos. It is a dueling piano bar and it was beyond fun!! We had so many laughs. If you’re looking for a girls day out and want to spoil yourself, then head to Hustle & Blow! You can get your hair and makeup done there and all of the ladies are amazing. If you go though, ask for Rachel or Hannah and tell them that I sent you! The last thing you could do is drive about 30 minutes to Tybee Island and spend the day at the beach!
If you’re thinking of taking a trip to Savannah I hope this blog helped you get an idea of things to do and places to see. Check out a few pictures that I’ve taken while vacationing there.
If you are looking for a wedding photographer in Savannah, Georgia I would love to be considered!
