I met up with Chelsea and Matt for their engagement session in downtown Dublin a few weeks ago. I hadn’t been to that area of Dublin in awhile, and it has grown so much! We started this session in front of the Columbus Metropolitan Library – Dublin branch, which made for really pretty pictures with the all glass windows. Strolling down the streets, we found a few trees that were starting to bloom! We decided to walk across the pedestrian bridge that was built a couple of years ago, and none of us had ever been across it. During our stroll, we noticed these tiny baby moths trying to attack us, and Chelsea started to freak out (I did as well!) Come to find out, we both hate moths and are scared of them! I’ve never met anyone else who was scared of them, and so it was so funny to bond over something like that.

These two actually met at a destination wedding in Key West, Florida. Chelsea’s cousin was marrying Matt’s best friend, and they were both in the wedding party! At this time, Chelsea was living in another state, but when she would visit her cousin in Ohio, she would always find herself at the same places as Matt and they would always talk and hit it off. They dated long distance for 8 months and then Chelsea decided to move to Ohio!

In September 2020, Chelsea’s parents were in town visiting from Florida. Her mom stayed a few days longer than she was supposed to and was talking to Matt about his plans for proposing. He decided he didn’t want to wait any longer, so Matt and Chelsea’s mom worked up a plan. Matt popped the question when it was just the two of them. When Chelsea went to answer the door, she was just expecting to see her mom, but all of their family was there!! She was so surprised!

I am so excited to photograph their wedding at The FIG room in just two short weeks! It is going to be so special with all of their family there, and I can’t wait to see how beautiful everything will be.
