During the winter, Ohio gets pretty dreary with no sunshine, cold temperatures, and snow. I was eager to do a little stylized engagement session during the winter to get my creativity flowing! Downtown Columbus makes for picture-perfect scenery for engagement sessions! I was hoping for snow on the ground so that it made this downtown engagement session even more magical, but unfortunately, there was no snow. However, we did get a few snow flurries during the session!!

Meet Hanah and Preston…an adorable couple from my hometown! Hanah and I went to high school together and we were in our school’s musical together as well. Those were definitely the good ole days! Hanah and Preston have been dating for several years and they are the cutest and sweetest couple ever. Although they are not actually engaged, these pictures fool you because they did an amazing job modeling for me. I do believe there will be a ring soon in Hanah’s future 😉

We started this session at Genoa Park, which is right across the river from downtown Columbus. It is a new location that I recently discovered and it just may be one of my new go-to spots for sessions! We ended our evening on the rooftop of a parking garage. I know, I know, it might sound strange, but let me tell you, the best view of downtown is actually on the top of a parking garage! And one of the best things about it, there is never anyone parked up there so it’s totally empty. If you are wanting a city view as your background, I highly recommend a rooftop!

Hanah and Preston…thank you so much for modeling for me in the freezing cold temperatures! It was beyond worth it and I am so happy with the way these pictures turned out.
