This week on the blog, I am highlighting a florist that you should consider hiring for your wedding! The Flowerman is by far one of the best florists that I have worked with. They have 2 locations…one in Columbus and one in the Dayton area. When I hosted a styled shoot with my friend Sierra, we worked with the Dayton location for the florals for our shoot, and we were beyond happy with their work. I spoke with Anne, who is the marketing and media director at The Flowerman. She is the sweetest soul and was super helpful to work with during our styled shoot.
Before your first free consultation with The Flowerman, you’ll need to do some homework. But don’t concern yourself too much, this homework isn’t too hard;) In your first meeting, they want to know the date of your wedding, the location of your wedding, your wedding colors, approximately how many arrangements you’ll want, and if you have any favorite flowers. They also enjoy seeing a picture of your wedding dress for inspiration.
Just one of the things I love about The Flowerman is they are known for their DIY arrangements! Their concept is so unique and fun! Don’t worry…they have coaches who help you make your flower arrangements for your wedding day. You gather up your bridesmaids, go into their store a few days before your wedding, take along some snacks and drinks and enjoy some time with friends! Doesn’t this sound like an enjoyable time before your big day?! And no worries, if the DIY option isn’t your thing, they also offer the full design option as well. The designers are great about looking over your inspirations you’ve shared and any notes they have taken, so that your vision comes to life!
Typically, it’s best to hire a florist 6-9 months before your wedding. Of course, hiring them earlier than that is fine, but they ask that you at least have your wedding date nailed down, venue booked, and inspiration. Flowers can be really expensive, so you might not know exactly how much you should budget for them. Each bridal bouquet can vary in price of course, but an average would be a few hundred dollars. If you have a tight budget, but still have a vision for your florals, the designers will do a great job to make them look amazing and you would never know that you only spent around $500 for everything!
Dried bouquets are trending right now in the floral business! These are definitely different, but if you want to be unique and hip, then this is definitely something you should consider. They can create these trendy arrangements for you, but they have to be pre-ordered.
Customer experience is extremely important to The Flowerman. They strive to ensure that each and every client of theirs is happy and pleased with their experience. They are all about having fun, which ties into the DIY experience! After working with The Flowerman for our styled shoot and after speaking with Anne, I highly suggest them for your floral needs!
