The FIG Room was a stunning venue for Chelsea and Matt’s wedding in May. The FIG Room is a new wedding venue located in the heart of Columbus in the Short North Arts District. This new intimate space is ideal for micro weddings. The blend of white walls, exposed brick, and natural light give this location a lovely backdrop for as much or as little decoration as desired for your wedding. Any kind of life event or celebration is worth gathering here with your family and friends!
To start the day out, everyone got ready at Le Meridien, The Joseph, which is a perfect hotel to get dressed and ready for your big day. The corner suite that Chelsea was in had floor-to-ceiling windows, which gave off the most amazing light for pictures. I actually think her getting ready pictures are some of my favorites ever! Once everyone was ready for the day, Chelsea and Matt shared a first look in the lobby, and then we headed to the wedding venue to get these two officially married!
The touching ceremony brought everyone to tears of joy, as well as a few laughs. Their reception was simple but lovely. One of the most precious moments was the father and daughter dance that brought them both to tears. Chelsea, Matt, and all of their guests enjoyed dancing the night away and celebrating that just married feeling!
Originally, Matt and Chelsea were planning a big wedding in Las Vegas next year. However, they bought a house instead, which lead them to throw around the idea just to get married at the courthouse. When Chelsea and her mom went shopping for a wedding dress, she fell in love with this one particular dress and, while in it, admitted to her mom that she wanted an actual wedding. They planned the wedding in just a few short months and everything was perfect!
