I wasn’t planning on blogging on a Saturday, or about this but I feel like this is something special to share with you all! Not just in an Instagram post, but in a blog so it can be longer 😉 I got to meet up with Kari Bowman and her adorable little girl, Willow for coffee yesterday! Kari has been my inspiration, someone I look up to, and is a role model. It might seem a little silly, but I have several photographers that I look up to and look to for my inspiration. It is very easy to get discouraged in this business when you don’t end up booking that wedding you thought you would, or when you are very behind on editing. But when I get discouraged, I go on Instagram to see beautiful images or read other fellow photographers blogs, and it makes me excited for what my future has to hold. I found Kari through a dear friend of mine about two years ago, and from then on I fell in love with her photography business.
Fast forward to now, and I got to briefly meet her at the Fellowship event! She was one of the speakers we got to listen to, and I was so excited! We got to hear all about her story, and how she got to where she is now in her business. I emailed her a few days later explaining that we have several common connections, and she couldn’t believe how much of a small world it is. She agreed to meet me for coffee sometime so we can talk about life and all things photography! I was super excited to hear that she would meet up with me.
We met up at a cute little coffee shop in downtown Upper Sandusky. It was great getting her input on all things business. It’s encouraging to hear from other people that I’m running my business so professionally and successfully. I am so glad that she agreed to meet me because now I have a new friend in the photography industry! I hope you all have a great weekend! 🙂
