Chelsea and Jacob’s Ohio fall engagement session was so much fun! We had beautiful fall weather, and it was actually a little warm. We were thankful to have a nice day because you just never know how Ohio weather will be!
Jake and Chelsea are from my hometown, in Marion, Ohio. They met back in middle school, but it wasn’t until five years after high school that they got together. The three of us went to the same school, but they graduated three years ahead of me, so we never really knew each other. So it was great actually to meet one another!
They got engaged in September 2020. Jake knew he wanted to propose, so he had her parents help him design her ring. When he received her engagement ring from the jeweler, he couldn’t wait to show her, so he proposed right away! Her ring is gorgeous, and I love how he customized it! On the inside of her ring, it says, “For the rest of forever.”
We chose to do their photos at Mt. Gilead State Park. I’ve never been there before, but I’d heard how beautiful it is. It’s a lovely park that offers ample amenities yet a quiet appeal. Chelsea and Jake occasionally visit the park and hike around the different trails with their dog.
Chelsea and Jake will be getting married at WatersEdge Event Center in the spring! I can’t wait to photograph their spring wedding; I know it will be wonderful!
