Austin and Jesseca had a beautiful summer wedding at The Pickwick Place in Bucyrus, Ohio. There was rain predicted for their wedding day, so I was holding onto hope it didn’t rain. We got lucky and it only rained once for about 15 minutes! Phew! But, I’ve always heard that if it rains on your wedding day that brings good luck to your marriage.
Jesseca and Austin decided not to see each other before the ceremony, but they still wanted to do a first touch. They were able to hold hands and chat with each other to relieve some of their nerves. They’d each written notes to each other, so they exchanged them during this time. It was a very loving exchange between them. Afterwards, Jesseca shared a first look with her father and it was such a sweet moment with her mom and grandma watching in the back.
Once Jesseca and Austin sealed their marriage with a kiss, Across the Field (the Ohio State fight song) played while they walked down the aisle as a married couple. This was the perfect song to play for them because they both attended Ohio State and that’s where they met! When it was time for their parents to walk down the aisle, they all joined hands and it was such a cute moment!!
I was so excited to photograph this wedding because I have known Austin and his family ever since I was little! It was so cool to be part of this wedding and see people from my hometown that I haven’t seen in years. I actually get to photograph a total of four weddings this year where the bride or groom went to school with me!
Austin and Jesseca had all of their friends and family surrounding them on their wedding day. They all had such a fun evening dancing away on the dance floor. Enjoy all of their photos from their fun wedding at The Pickwick Place!
Are you in need of a wedding photographer? I’d love to chat with you!
