Let’s talk about planning your 2021 wedding while the world is going through COVID-19. Maybe you have recently gotten engaged through all of this craziness, and you don’t even know where to begin your wedding planning. Planning your wedding for 2021 should be fun and exciting! So let’s talk about how we can make your 2021 wedding AMAZING!!
First off, let me start by congratulating you on your engagement!! Eeek…this is such an exciting time for you and your fiancé! Wedding planning can be challenging because there are so many moving parts, and you might not even know where to begin! First off, start with the three vendors you should book for your wedding: the venue, a wedding planner, and then the photographer. All three of these vendors book up very quickly and book far in advance.
Can I let you in on some REALLY important information? 2021 is booking quickly for all vendors. I know that’s crazy!!! But, with so many 2020 weddings having to reschedule to next year, it is limiting the dates available for vendors. This might seem a little intimidating to some people, but I think one piece of advice I could give you, is to contact vendors ASAP. Maybe you have been dreaming of getting married at a certain wedding venue for years now. If this is the case, I would immediately contact them and see what their availability is for next year. If your dream vendors are already booked for the wedding date you picked, then maybe be flexible and change your date for something that works for them!
Nailing down all of your vendors is probably the hardest part about the wedding planning process. Once all vendors are booked, it’s almost like you can breathe a little easier! One of my favorite parts of wedding planning is thinking about the decorations you want to have. This leads me to my second piece of advice, make sure your decorations reflect who you are as a couple!! Many people look to Pinterest and see these high end weddings, and think “My wedding will never look like that.” And you know what? That is TOTALLY fine!! If you and your fiancé are more on the side of wanting a rustic look, then go for it! Burlap and lace look super pretty together. If you’re wanting some florals for your centerpieces, but can’t afford it for all of the tables, then consider only doing them on half of the tables and then doing something else on the rest of the tables so it mixes it up! Just remember, your wedding day is all about you and your fiancé and whatever makes you happy!
Hopefully after reading this you know what you need to do immediately if you’re planning a 2021 wedding! I love talking all things wedding and I have experience in the planning industry, so if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to me!
