This blog is coming straight from the heart and is a topic that means a lot to me. There is always someone in your life telling you to follow your dream. I am so happy that I am able to follow my dream and be a photographer. I came across this saying and I feel like it hits home for me and I wanted to share it with you. “The biggest mistake people make in life is not trying to make a living at doing what they most enjoy.” If you know me, you know that photography is one of the things in my life that I enjoy the most.
When someone asks me what I want to do with my life after college, I tell them that I want to continue to be a photographer and grow my business even more. There have been several times in my life that someone has shot down my dreams of being a photographer for the rest of my life. Whenever someone does this, it makes me sad because I think to myself “can I really be a successful photographer for the rest of my life?”. But then I always have supportive people around me telling me that I can be the successful photographer that I want to be, and that I need to continue following my dream.
What I want you to get out of this blog post, is that no matter how young or how old you are, go follow your dream. And while you may have the occasional debby downer, telling you that your dream cannot come true, don’t listen to them. If you want to become a doctor, then you become that doctor. If you want to go back and get your college degree because you never finished one, then you get that degree. Or if you are in high school and have a dream college in mind, then you apply for that college and attend there. So get out there and make your dreams come true!
