For Mother’s Day this year, my best friend Meridith and I decided to surprise our moms with a girls trip to Nashville, Tennessee! It was so fun to see their reaction of them reading the letter that told them we would be going to Nashville. None of us had ever been before so we all were excited to explore the city!
We got to Nashville Tuesday afternoon and had some lunch at Rainforest Cafe near our hotel. If you have never been to one of these restaurants, I highly suggest you eat at one because the atmosphere is very fun! After that we decided to check in to our hotel and unpack and relax a little since we got up early. We headed downtown Nashville for some dinner at Martin’s Bar-B-Que, which was very good!! The restaurant was huge and you could pick where you sat! Right when you walked into the restaurant the smell of barbecue hit you. After dinner we explored Broadway street and took in all of the crazy atmosphere and the live country music being played.
On Wednesday we went to breakfast at Loveless Cafe. This place is AMAZING!! The wait can get a little long but they have several little stores around the restaurant that you can go in and look around, so the wait truly isn’t that bad. After that we went downtown again and went to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. I’m not a huge country fan but this was definitely interesting to walk around and see! It’s no secret that I am a fan of Taylor Swift, so of course I was excited to see all of her things in there! Later that night we went over to the Gaylord Opryland Hotel for dinner, and that hotel was seriously huge. The dinner was amazing, and when we were done eating we actually saw a proposal go down and I got a few pictures of it! After dinner we went to The Grand Ole Opry!! This was so much fun and it was beautiful in there.
On Thursday we packed up and went to Five Daughters Bakery for breakfast. Oh. My. Word. These doughnuts are amazing and your mouth just drools looking at them. Afterwards we went and found the wall with the wings on it! Of course we had to get our picture in front of it. Then we went downtown real quick to get some Nashville apparel. After that we headed back to our hotel and we got picked up on a bus to go on a tour of stars’ homes around Nashville. This was super cool! We got to see so many stars’ homes, a few to name were Reese Witherspoon, Kelly Pickler, Dolly Parton, and a little bit of Taylor Swifts!! After the tour we headed out and drove home.
This trip was so much fun and we made amazing memories that none of us will forget. I hope you enjoy these pictures that I took while we were there 🙂
